About Me — Flo
Hi, I’m Flo. I believe in the power of the right words, chosen at the right moment.
I created this space to offer you daily inspiration, comfort on hard days, and simple tools to reconnect with yourself.
My approach blends sensitivity, introspection, and practicality: every topic is designed to truly help you, one step at a time.
📖 Discover my story
It all began eleven years ago, in a sneaky and silent way. First a pain here, then an exhaustion that grew more and more frequent in my daily life — that strange tiredness that doesn’t go away after a night’s sleep and that no one can explain. My body was changing, and I didn’t understand why.
At first I thought it was work stress, maybe a difficult period to get through. But the months passed and the pain remained — widespread, migrating, stubborn. Pain in my muscles, joints, back, neck. An exhaustion so deep it made me feel as if I carried an invisible weight on my shoulders every day, even on the days when I had miraculously managed to sleep a few hours more than usual.
The path to a diagnosis was long and frustrating. Years of tests, of specialists, of conflicting diagnoses. “You’re fine, the tests are negative.” “Maybe it’s anxiety.” “Maybe it’s depression.” Being told there’s nothing wrong with you when you know perfectly well inside that something is off. And maybe that is the most painful part to face. Not the physical pain, but the lack of understanding. The loneliness of suffering in an “invisible” way.
Then finally, in 2014, the diagnosis: fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. A word that frightened me at first, but that actually set me free. Finally a name, finally an answer to my endless questions. I wasn’t crazy. I wasn’t a hypochondriac. I was truly unwell, and there was a reason.
Then, six years later, I created my blog on Facebook and called it “Tutto si risolve con Flo” (Everything Works Out with Flo). I wanted to send a real signal, a hope that everything truly can be resolved, in the end. And I did it right during the very hard time of Covid and lockdown, when so many of us were going through moments of darkness, isolation, and fear.
I discovered that the most powerful weapons against adversity and against those who try to disturb our harmony are a smile and indifference toward those busy only “plucking at our strings.” I carry with me two mottos that guide me: “In medio stat virtus” (virtue lies in the middle) and the beautiful line by the poet Alda Merini: “I always wake up in good shape and get deformed through others”. But above all, in the hardest moments, I always repeat to myself two fundamental truths: “Nothing lasts forever” and “For every problem there are countless solutions: let’s focus on the solutions, not the problem”.
I did it because I felt the need not to stay alone — and not to let others feel alone. I started sharing what I was learning: nutritional strategies, gentle exercises, the small daily tricks for feeling better. And people responded. “Me too,” they wrote. “Same for me.” “Finally someone who understands.”
This blog was born from those years of experience, of research, of experimenting on myself. It’s not a medical manual — I’m an enthusiast, not a doctor. It’s the honest story of a woman who chose not to give up, who built her wellbeing day by day through nutrition, movement, mental care, faith, spirituality, and healthy supplementation.
Today I’m better. I won’t say I’m completely cured — fibromyalgia doesn’t vanish by magic. But I’ve learned to live with it intelligently, and the quality of my life is completely different from eleven years ago. I work full time, I’ve traveled for work every month over the last 6 years; I work out, I have many friends, I have a wonderful family, two lovely cats, I laugh, I make plans, I love. In short, I’M ALIVE. And that is already a miracle.
